BOOKS

My interest in Motor Racing goes back to my school days. I remember reading every issue of Autosport – Thursday was my big day of the week. There were other magazines of the day, some still around. However, Autosport was what galvanized me into an avid race fan. Sadly, I never kept all those issues and it wasn’t until I was adult that I started buying the more expensive motor racing hard cover books. They became my bible, history book and entertainment. So much so, that my bookshelves were crammed with them. With a little (!) nudging from my wife I decided to ‘cull the herd’. Below are some wonderful examples, not all ‘rare collectibles’ but all significant in their history of the sport. I’ve broken them into sections, although some cross over into more than one individual placing. I believe I have priced them below the market, but again many don’t even show up any more. I have only put up books that are in good or very good condition, however the dust jacket may show the odd crease or tear. Actually, they all have worn a lot better than I have, but in my defense, I haven’t sat around on a shelf all my life.

Please call me if you have any questions.  These are my babies, they have fed me with amazing information for over fifty years.

Cheers,

Steve
