London Theatre London Bridge Theatre Outside Theatre

Enjoy the very best of London on this six day visit. We’ve included excellent accommodations at the Park Plaza Westminster Hotel. Three show productions, including the Shakespeare Globe Theatre, the National Theatre and a West End Musical, (or you can also substitute your own show choices or add to our suggestions). During the week, you will have the attention of top ‘blue badge’ guides, who will bring all the excitement and history of this fabulous city to life. If you are a many time visitor to London, you can opt for a day out to visit Brooklands and the Battle of Britain/Air Museum. We also include a day trip to the City of Bath and Stonehenge. No one does ‘High Tea’ like the Brits! We’ve included the best – ‘Tea at the Savoy’. There are plenty of fun surprises - the London ‘Eye’, a boat trip on the Thames from the Tower of London to Westminster; guides who can show you great shopping locations as well as famous museums and homes. This is the year to take advantage of an historically low pound! “Tea with the Queen?” you ask – Sorry! We’re not that good but one can always hope!

Big Wheel in London

London Big Ben Tower of London Big Ben Clock Tower

Monday, September 11 – Meet at London’s Heathrow airport and transferred into the Park Plaza Westminster Hotel (across from Big Ben). This afternoon, take a stroll along the South Bank to the imposing London ‘Eye’. The ‘Eye’ has now become one of the top five attractions of London. Later this afternoon, an opportunity to relax in our hotel, enjoy a glass of wine or a London brew before dinner in the hotel.
Tuesday, September 12 - Our Blue Badge Guide joins us for a day of visiting the City of London. Our private coach navigates the ancient streets with wonderful photo opportunities including St. Paul’s and the Tower of London. We also board a Thames cruise boat that winds its way upriver from the Tower to Westminster Pier, a great way to record the history around you. This evening, our first show is a production at the historic Shakespeare Globe Theatre.
Wednesday, September 13 - Another touring day with our guides. Today, we center around the ‘new’ City of Westminster (don’t worry your guide will explain all). We’ll tour both the Political and Ecclesiastical centers – Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, Whitehall and Trafalgar. Along the way, we visit the Churchill War Rooms and much more. This evening a production at the National Theatre.
Thursday, September 14 – Today, we board our private coach for a full day outing to Stonehenge and the Regency Spa City of Bath.  Our schedule gives us plenty of time at Stonehenge before continuing on to Bath.  Our lunch stop will be at a typical country inn where excellent ‘pub grub’ is served.  In Bath, we visit the famous Roman Baths, once the r&r for Roman Legions and then the social centre of England during the Regency period (1780-1830).  Bath’s favorite lady is Jane Austen, who wrote almost all of her novels in the area.  We’ll show you the beautiful Nash designed streets and homes,  but still give you time to explore the excellent shopping area that makes Bath very popular.  The return to our hotel will get us back in time should you wish to add an extra show to your trip or we also might suggest visiting some excellent restaurants that are close to the hotel.
Friday, September 15 – We leave today for your own personal leisure.  You will have plenty of advice from our guides and we can help organize anything for you.  Whether it’s museums, shopping or just walking the wonderful Parks that criss-cross the City, we will be there to help.  Late afternoon, we all meet up at the glorious Savoy Hotel for High Tea, one of the great institutions for the English and their visitors.  Following tea we are just a few minutes from the West End Theatre District.  You will have plenty of time to relax before out West End Musical.  There are a myriad of Pubs, Wine Bars or meeting places to enjoy a beverage before the performance.
Saturday, September 16 – Following breakfast, we conclude our tour.  Naturally, we include transportation back to Heathrow .  However, should you wish to stay on in England or continue on to Europe, we will be happy to make any arrangements you require.

**Please note:  on Wednesday, September 13, we have an alternative program available visiting Brooklands Race Track and Museum and continuing on to the Battle of Britain and RAF Museum at Hendon.
